2:05 AM : Miners are being lazy shits.




I was about to say, "OHHH WHERE THE FUCK IS MY LAZY MINER--" but then I realised that I only had one miner enabled from the start, when I thought I had two. In fact I expected to have two because of the default number of picks, which I usually go with, but this time I only skilled up ONE miner whilst still buying two picks.
So now I enabled another miner.
He is running to get his dig on in that image.

(It is 2:09 am. I forgot to include the above entry's time when I wrote it, so I am writing this to telll you about that. Buh.)

We have giants thrips (thripses? thripe?) flying arounf in numbers over the fort. I dunno what to do. They won't bug us wil they?

I am trying to make things serious and then all of a sudden I think I may be turning viewers away, viewers who want light comedu... which is what I feel more able to do right now, anyway.

2:32 am: Dwarves are being difficult. Pretty sure made some of them the guy to do the thing, but they ain't doing it.
Maybe it;s because they can't safely reach the spaces marked, due to the brook in the way... buidlding a bridge now to test.

I hung out with friends awhile. A little while ago I found some cruskits in my pockets. Also I was eating a cruskit at the time. I'm eating them now.
Oh, yeah, and the fort is... oh, we have merchants. Better bild a depot.

Finally. Anyway, Autumn has come. It is the... 21st of Limestone 73.

3:21 am Merchants are here, I was fretting because I don't have anything to trade, and then I remembered I had built mason's and carpenter's workshops just a little while ago. So I ordered them build stone cabinets, stone armour stands and wooden ... crutches, because crutches were a bestseller with the dwarves in my current fort last I checked. I mean. Current real forrt.

3:26 AM: Saving the game. Just got some migrants, a couple of whom I set to gather plants, since it is the easiest way to get foods stuffs (to set up, I mean).

3:28 Feeling pretty tired. Oh and I forgot to load the game until just now. Whoops.

Oooh. I think I am needing to sleep, soon.

4:11 AM: Damn, I just remembered I forgot to trade with the traders aftret all that. Probably forgot to assign a briker. *broker


4:15 AM told some ppeople to make some beds, tables, chairs, cabinets, chests and such. Out of wood and stone.





4:22 am: Ordered some more furniture to be made. Started placing furniture for a dining room/meeting hal.

4:36 am: I spent the last while dozing off briefly then trying to put my pyjamas on. I... think it' time to sleep. I got through part of a year at least.

I will upload the save when I wake up later. Sleeeeeepytimes for me.

This is genuinely hilarious. The amount of weed necessary to accomplish such poor design is remarkable.

1:59AM Shit, some dude died. A cook. An actual cook. As in one with skills in the game for cooking and the title "cook".
He um, dehydrated. That's probably why I had to designate another cook before we could get any cooking done.
I wonder what happened... everyone has water, just no food. Probably got stuck in a tree when another dwarf stole his stepladder, that's always a corker.

2:21 AM Just finished getting some kinda important stuff done. Well, it felt important.
New improved gathering zone, refuse stockpile near the butcher, that kind of thing. Also I thought I heard a siren which seemed to be coming from in my headphones, which freaed me the fuck out. Oye.

Back to tryna build farms, along with mechanism to flood them. It's pretty hard. I'd rp probably have an easier time digging into the aquifer than using this strea, but oh well. Also I'm not even sure if we have an aquifer. Maybe use the caverns, I dunno.
I ti think I sa started working on this mich /much earlier but forgot to talk about it. It's now 2:28 AM.

Just then I stationed them outside to get them to grab their gear... this one guy, a rusty-yet-competent speardwarf, has his spear then runs over, gets to his post and promptly falls asleep. What the heck? Is that normal behaviour for military dwarves?
Lazy bastard.

Okay I am hurriedly trying t make crafts to peddle to the traders. In exchange for what, I don't know.
Oh and I willl have to sleep soon. I think I will just do this trading, maybe have some noodles, then sleep. Unfortunately I ca am coming down too much to continue.

5:10 AM I bought a ... spear. From the traders. And then they left.
There were probably more things I could have purchased I if I had either waited for more crafts to be made, started the craft manufacture ealier, or just not been so damn wasted. But alas. We have a spear, at least. And I think one dude who can use those. Should really get some trin training going on.

Also I have noodles cooking. Better go deal with that.

About to enact a half-baked plan to flood a dug-out area in the hopes of filling it with lovely mud suitable for farm lots. PLOTS.
